ABOUT ERASMUS +

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, mobility and sport in Europe in the fields of youth, school education, higher education (HE), vocational education and training (VET) and adult education. In particular, the current Erasmus+´s programme focuses on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions and promoting youth participation in the democratic life of the EU 

Its structure is organised in different actions:

- Key Action 1, which focus on Mobility of Individuals.
- Key Action 2, which focus on Cooperation among organisations and institutions.
- Key Action 3, which support policy development and cooperation.
- Jean Monnet Actions, which provide opportunities for education and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about EU integration.

Vetting Green is an Strategic partnership funded under the Key Action 2 of this programme, under the field of VET.


KEY ACTION 2

Specifically, VETting green is a Strategic Partnership funded under the Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme. In short, this Key Action supports: Partnerships for Cooperation, including Cooperation Partnerships and Small-scale Partnerships; Partnerships for Excellence, including Centres for Vocational Excellence and Erasmus Mundus Action; Partnerships for Innovation, including Alliances and Forward-looking projects; Capacity Building projects in the fields of higher education, vocational education and training, youth and sport and Not-for-profit European sport events.

This Key Action aims to stimulate innovation through the development, transfer and implementation of innovative solutions from local to European level.

As a result, projects supported under this Key Action are intended to produce, between others the following outcomes:

Innovative processes and solutions, providing, for example: more attractive education and training programmes; the use of digital and participative methodologies or new strategies to boost competitiveness and employment, specially at local or regional level.

Improvement of professional skills to work at EU or international level by supporting the improvement of management competences and strategies. Cooperation with foreign partners, education and training actors, the youth and other economic actors will also be backed. European or international projects will also be supported through assistance in fundraising and management of projects promoting VET or youth.
