The Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja (CTCR), located in the North of Spain serves as the hub of the footwear sector in the area, providing innovative research and development solutions to its companies. The CTCR was constituted as a private non-profit association with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of businesses, creating added value in products and production processes.

The CTCR has more than 120 partners and works in the areas of Sustainability and Advanced Materials, Digital Transformation and Smart Manufacturing.

PARTNERS

The European Footwear Confederation (CEC) is the representative body of the European footwear industry that gathers major footwear associations in the European Union. It advocates for the sector interests both at European and international levels, with the aim of promoting competitiveness and sustainable growth of footwear companies in collaboration with industry representatives, research and education providers, and public authorities.

The CEC also plays a role in EU projects and international initiatives, acting as a facilitator to strengthen collaboration and synergies inside and outside Europe.

NEO SAPIENS is a European mobility and training social entity whose main aim is the design, management and implementation of educational, training, entertainment, culture and transnational mobility projects and local initiatives to promote training opportunities on non-formal education and interculturality. It offers services to NGOs and education centres focused on implementing this kind of activities and the development of pedagogic and learning materials related to them.

“Consumers’ Association the Quality of Life” (EKPIZO) has the aim of protecting consumer rights and improving their quality of life. EKPIZO advises, informs consumers about their rights and intervenes on behalf of them both out and before the court. Its policy areas include legal, economic, financial, insurance, health, food, environment, safety and consumer education issues. Through campaigns, surveys, national European projects, EKPIZO contributes to strengthen the voice of consumers and promote social responsibility.

Politecnico Calzaturiero Scarl is the main structure of training, services and technological transfer of the Riviera del Brenta Footwear District, where footwear of absolute excellence are designed, manufactured and produced.

The embryonic relationship between Politecnico and the Riviera del Brenta’s companies, the involvement of experts and trainers coming from the best known factories, the international network of schools and research centres: this is what makes Politecnico Calzaturiero a fundamental source of development and forge of talent in the district.

CTCP – Portuguese Footwear Technological Centre – is a private, non-profit organisation, founded in 1986, with facilities in the North of Portugal near the main Footwear industrial areas. CTCP aims to support all companies within the Portuguese Footwear Fashion Cluster in various areas related to their competitiveness, including Quality Control, Consultancy, Training, Marketing and Promotion, Research and Development, Health Safety, Environment, Business Intelligence, Studies and Research.
